HDR PHOTOGRAPHY or High Dynamic Range photography is the process of merging three photos into one. The first image should be at normal exposure, the second under exposed and the third over exposed. This allows for all light conditions on different parts of the photo. By merging the three shots, computer software can take the 'best bits' form the three photos and stitch them together. Tone mapping at the end helps add the vibrancy to the image. I have decided, since I am taking so many HDR shots that I will archive them in their respective galleries. You can find various HDR shots from the 2011 galleries onwards. Click HERE to go to the various gallery categories. |
