Now you either hate them or love them, I'm sorry to say (I hope I don't lose too many regular visitors for saying this), but I hate them. Smileys, emoticons... whatever you call them. This shot though I find sort of amusing. Not sure why, something appeals to me. Perhaps the contrast between dirty old architecture and a modern new smiley face!? |

"Helicopter" Friday 13th October 2006
|
Came across several kite surfers yesterday enjoying the strong winds off Altona beach, located 15 mins further away from the city past Williamstown. Some were getting some good air as they flew past very quickly. I will probably follow this shot up with another showing more of the group on Monday for my 'landscapes' category. |
Just some lovely shapes and colours in the form of water ripples. Enjoy.. |
Lovely red helicopter spotted recently. |

"Yellow Circle" Friday 8th September 2006 |
But wait, theres more! If you want to see the full picture of this seagull, just wait for the page to download, then you can roll your mouse over the image. Seagulls is the name of the local Football club here in Williamstown. Although some find these birds 'pesky', they can actually be quite graceful. They are particularly good at pretending they only have one leg so they get the sympathy vote whilst you're eating fish and chips! |
I'm sure most people will recognise this icon. The entrance to the Melbourne Luna Park, located in St Kilda. The entrance to the park is through the large mouth. A great location with the lovely St Kilda beach directly behind the park. There are great views from the various rides. Great colours and very photogenic at night (I"ll head back one day soon). Want more information about the park?.... try here. |
A solemn moment for a young lad on the promenade along the South bank of the Yarra River. |
