Recently had the pleasure of visiting Flinders, a lovely quiet township approx. 100mins South-East of Melbourne. It lies on the tip of the Mornington Peninsula and is popular as a holiday destination. Very natural, very calming, a great spot. This is just one of many vantage points looking out to the lovely seas. |
Recently I was in Bendigo for three nights. Bendigo is a large country town situated 2 hours North of Melbourne. This is the Sacred Heart Cathedral which fills the horizon from so many different angles. The picture is not completely sharp as I did not have a tripod and it was actually very dark, an hour after sunset. Hopefully, however, this shows how grand the building is as it rises up from the hill upon which it sits. I actually like the dark nature of the shot. |

Sunset over lake Mokoan, near Wangaratta, three hours north of Melbourne. This lake and many others are particularly dry at the moment, and tight water restrictions are in force. |
