"Yarra Glen" Thursday 31st July 2008 |
|
|
Approximately an hour and a quarter North East of Melbourne is Yarra Glen. It's a small town with many lovely antique stores and great food stops. This shot shows an old corrugated iron shed and was taken on the hill that leads down to Yarra Glen from the West. |

"Flinders Pier" Friday 20th June 2008 |
"Flinders Golf Club" Thursday 19th June 2008 |
"Balnarring Pier" Wednesday 18th June 2008 |
My final shot in a series from the Mornington Peninsula. Today more from Flinders. This is the Flinders pier, just around the corner from the Flinders Golf Club which I showed yesterday. Flinders is about 100 minutes South East of the city of Melbourne. |
More from my trip to the Mornington Peninsula today. This is one of the terrific holes of the Flinders Golf Club. Quite a view, it's almost like a hole from a made up course in a video game. It certainly would be relaxing playing golf on this course. Flinders is about 10 minutes further out of the city of Melbourne past Balnarring and Point Leo. |
Another shot from Balnarring beach today, to follow up on yesterdays photo of a racehorse taking a swim. This is the small pier on Balnarring Beach, which is on the Mornington Peninsula about 90 minutes out of the main city of Melbourne. I shot this at dusk, the skies were actually quite dark, which enabled a longer than normal exposure time. |

"Balnarring Beach" Tuesday 17th June 2008 |
"Road to Point Leo" Monday 16th June 2008 |
"Point Leo Surf Life Saving Club" Sunday 15th June 2008 |
Also down on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria is the lovely area of Balnarring, which also includes a beach area. Racehorses are bathed there six days a week as part of their training regime. This was last Thursday morning at about 7:15am. |
Yesterday I showed the Point Leo life saving Club. Today the road that leads down to the beach. The pine needles currently create this lovely colour on the sides of the road. |
Down on the Mornington Peninsula are some lovely small towns with some great beaches. I had the pleasure of spending a short time down there recently and will share various photos of the area over the next few days. Today I have shown the Point Leo life saving Club including the Tich Taylor tower. It was raining whilst I was on the beach, but surfers were still out enjoying the waves behind me. |

"Torquay Beach" Saturday 3rd May 2008 |
"Rockpool" Wednesday 26th March 2008 |
"Split Point Lighthouse" Easter Monday 24th March 2008 |
Torquay beach last Thursday morning as the sun came up. Torquay is approx 80 minutes out of Melbourne down the Great ocean Road. |
Small rockpool we explored over the long weekend at Aireys Inlet beach, southern Victoria, Australia. |
I have shown the Split Point Lighthouse once before here, but I was back at Aireys Inlet on a brighter day yesterday and took this shot from a small path through the bushes. The lighthouse was featurd on the popular childrens TV show " Round the twist". It is located on the beach at Aireys inlet on the South Coast of Victoria about 100 minutes out of Melbourne. |
