Gem pier in Williamstown runs out into the water from Commonwealth reserve, which I have shown before here, here and here. A great spot to spend an afternoon, with many visitors crowding the restaurants and cafes over the weekends. |

A popular attraction in Williamstown is the Titanic restaurant which takes you on board the fated Titanic trip. Waiters are in character and the voyage starts as you board and leave New York and continues to the dramatic end. This restaurant has been established for 14 years and was developed before the Hollywood movie. This statue of liberty is part of the scenery which appears from the window of the ship as the voyage commences. More information can be found at the restaurants' own website here. |

"Sale Boat" Monday 21st May 2007 |
I've shown you the Williamstown beach before here, but today a close-up. I can only guess these tracks were made by a vehicle cleaning the unwanted seaweed or rubbish. Whatever they were made by, they made some interesting shapes in the sun yesterday. |
My last in the series of shots from the Eureka Tower Skydeck 88. Here is Williamstown, my home suburb. You can see how it retains it's country like community feel, as to a degree it is surrounded by water and not somewhere you go through to get somewhere else. The foreshore has given me plenty of ' Landscape' shots as from there you get the best views of Melbourne with just a few boats between you and the skyscrapers on the horizon. I am of course inside the largest of them all, the Eureka Tower. |
Sail boat for sale! Want a lovely spot on the shore of Williamstown? Well here's a nice little boat with the best view in Melbourne, and only $10,000! |

Another shot from the 30th Williamstown Festival, fire show, Commonwealth Reserve, Williamstown. Now I need one of these for my BBQ! |
The Williamstown Festival is held this weekend each year. Last night, being the festivals 30th year, there was a special fireworks, laser show and fire twirling spectacular! Despite the colder weather the crowds were good and many families anjoyed the festivities. Today, rides and markets continue around Commonwealth Reserve. |
